Electronic Scoring

For all matches we will place 4 wives on the course with handheld devices to record and pass scores to one main score board in the club house veranda and 2 smaller score boards at 9 and 18. The www.Douglascup.com website will display all scorers with internet connectivity.


Qualifying For Singles Matches

The final singles matches will be played one golfer against one golfer, walking from tee to green, with caddie. All matches will be against like golfer with no strokes. The singles matches will have gallery of the other players from the morning matches. These will be pressure packed matches fun to watch and each match will assign 2 points to the winner. Each team will select 12 golfers. 10 golfers will qualify by playing one round under tournament conditions. 2 golfers will be captain selection.

Qualifying Rules

There are six (6) days Sept. 10,11, 12, 17, 18 or 19th in which you can choose only one (1) to play your qualifying round. The pro shop must be notified of your choice that day. You will be given an official scorecard that must be attested by your playing partners. All holes must be completed and putts need to be holed. There is no limit on how many strokes one plays on any given hole. Upon completion of your round, please return your attested scorecard to the pro shop for it to be entered into the process for your respective team positions. In the event of an emergency the committee will consider another opportunity for that individual to re-qualify. (If such an event occurs please bring this to the pro shops attention). This will be the only exception to the qualifying process.

4 Golfers from flight 1 will tee off #10 at 2:00 PM and next singles ,match will tee off 8, 16, 24, minutes later.
4 Golfers from flight 2 will tee off #13 at 2:00 PM and next singles ,match will tee off 8, 16, 24 minutes later.
2 Golfers from flight 3 will tee off #15 at 2:00 PM and next singles ,match will tee off 8 minutes later.
2 Golfers from flight 4 will tee off #17 at 2:00 PM and next singles ,match will tee off 8 minutes later.

The match will count as 2 team points. The winner getting 2 and the loser 0; if tied each will split 1 point.

Each hole will count be ruled a win or tie, the single player with the most number of wins will win the match.

Each player will select his caddie from his team. The caddie will drive a golfer cart and advise and assist the player, rack all traps and move golfer from green to next tee.

The singles match ends when any player wins 5 holes.

All matches will be tracked and scoring will be updated immediately by hand held's, electronic scoring and cell phones. The main score board will be on the 19th tee.


Jerseys & Whites Shorts

All jersey will be distributed at the Thursday pairing party, if you cannot attend you need to see your captain and give him $100 prior to that evening. All jerseys are white with Red or Blue Trim and all players are requested to wear white shorts.
