Linda and I moved into PGC in October 2005 in the Gables section. We have four children and 13 grandchildren. I am founder and owner of Media Vue and MVI solutions, Internet Design Development Hosting and Marketing. A graduate and supporter of U of Miami, and a MBA from NYU.

I Love all sports but golf has a very special place in my life. Linda and I have enjoyed the wonderful friends and neighbors that we have met. This golf tournament is our way of celebrating with the members of PGCC.

Kitty and I first joined PGCC in April 2012 as summer members and we became Full Golf Members in November 2012. We knew right away that this was a special place filled with very special people. We took a short break from the club in 2014 when the mountains were calling and we moved to Evergreen, CO. But when we moved back to Florida in 2016 it was PGCC or bust! We are now very happily settled on Red Bay Lane and so excited to live and play with the great members of PGCC.

I was born and raised in South Florida (If you’ve been in South Florida for a long time, you probably ate at Tarks Clam Stand which was the family business when I was a kid). I’m a graduate of Plantation High School and the University of Pennsylvania. Kitty grew up in the Richmond, VA area and went to Virginia Tech.

To financially support of my golf and golf equipment addiction, I am the VP of Client Success at a boutique Oracle Consulting firm that I’ve worked at for the past 19 years. Mrs. Kitty is the Art teacher at Somerset Parkland Academy.

It is an honor to captain the Blue Team in the Douglas Cup. Jeff and Linda invest so much time and effort into helping make PGCC the best club in South Florida. I am thrilled to help in any small way that I can to continue this amazing tradition.

Janet and her husband, Steve, moved to PGCC in September 2016. She played on the PGCC South Palm beach tennis leagues for several years. She met Linda Douglas and was introduced to a wonderful group of women playing Canasta and Mahjong. (Linda was the teacher for many of us!) Janet started golfing 4 years ago and enjoys the camaraderie of the Parkland Women’s Golf Association and will not discuss her handicap.

She graduated from the University of Vermont and the U of Penn School of Veterinary Medicine and has been enjoying her retirement for 5 years.

Jonna Shutowick has been a member of PGCC since 2009, with her husband John. She has taught high school history for the past 25 years, but a move to Florida Virtual School a few years back afforded the work life balance needed to work full time and play in the Ladies Golf League, which sparked a latent passion for the game. She is delighted to be serving with Janet as co-captain for this year’s Douglas Cup!
